Students of Savess at the grand durbar Savelugu Senior High School (Savess) in the Northern Region has today Saturday, April 18, 2026, climaxed its SRC Week Celebration in a grand-styled-durbar.  The event, organised under the the theme "Students in Substance Abuse: Dangers and the Way Forward", was graced by staff of the school, traditional and opinion leaders, health workers, and both old and continuing students. According to a statement by the Trust Fund, "the effective opening date for applications is 13th April 2026 and the closing date for applications is 30th April 2026." The headmaster addressing learners at the launch   The Headmaster of Savelugu Senior High School (Savess) in the Northern Region, Alhassan Abdulai has today Monday April 13, 2026, officially launched its maiden SRC Week Celebration. This comes after an earlier clean-up exercise over the weekend at the Yoo Naa's Palace and the Savelugu Municipal Hospital. Speaking during the launch, Mr. Abdulai encouraged learners to "make hay whilst the sun shines." He said "an individual who decides to choose rest instead of work at a young age, shall work at their old age instead of rest." Speaking further, the headmaster also admonished learners, especially the females, to as much as possible desist from engaging in romantic relationships both within and without the school premises. MCE for Savelugu (Middle), together with his entourage  The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Savelugu Municipality,  Honorable Alhassan Fuseini (Bagaman) has today, Monday, April 13, 2026 launched 'The Solar Street Light Project'.
