GETFund, Savelugu MCE Cut Sod for Major Education Projects in Municipality

When completed, the municipality is expected to witness a major boost in educational infrastructure, quality education and improved learning outcomes. Students of Savess at the grand durbar Savelugu Senior High School (Savess) in the Northern Region has today Saturday, April 18, 2026, climaxed its SRC Week Celebration in a grand-styled-durbar.  The event, organised under the the theme "Students in Substance Abuse: Dangers and the Way Forward", was graced by staff of the school, traditional and opinion leaders, health workers, and both old and continuing students. In his address to kick-start the occasion, the SRC president of the school, Abdulai Alhassan, expressed gratitude to the headmaster, staff and students for their unflinching support, which culminated in making the celebration a success. The Ministry of Health (MoH) has officially released its recruitment schedule for the validation and posting of qualified health professionals across the country. Amongst other steps, applicants must first verify if they qualify via the MoH recruitment portal verify.mohrecruitment.com In a statement signed and released on April 15, 2026 by the the ministry's spokesperson, Tony Goodman, applicants  are to use either their PIN or Index Number to check and confirm if their details are valid and are cleared by the professional council. GETFund opens applications for Postgraduate Foreign Scholarship for 2026/27 Academic Year.

The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) on Monday, April 13, 2026 opened applications for Postgraduate Programmes for the award of Foreign scholarships for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. According to a statement by the Trust Fund, "the effective opening date for applications is 13th April 2026 and the closing date for applications is 30th April 2026." PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATIONS All qualified applicants are required to visit the GETFund scholarship Portal to complete an online application form. Applicants shall complete the online form with required information and upload scanned copies of required documentation for vetting and shortlisting. Savelugu Senior High School officially launches maiden SRC Week celebration

This comes after an earlier clean-up exercise over the weekend at the Yoo Naa's Palace and the Savelugu Municipal Hospital. Speaking during the launch, Mr. Abdulai encouraged learners to "make hay whilst the sun shines." He said "an individual who decides to choose rest instead of work at a young age, shall work at their old age instead of rest." Speaking further, the headmaster also admonished learners, especially the females, to as much as possible desist from engaging in romantic relationships both within and without the school premises. MCE for Savelugu launches Solar Streetlight Project

MCE for Savelugu (Middle), together with his entourage  The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Savelugu Municipality,  Honorable Alhassan Fuseini (Bagaman) has today, Monday, April 13, 2026 launched 'The Solar Street Light Project'. According to the MCE, his outfit sent a letter to the Ministry of Education and Green Transition, requesting for street lights.
